Other forms: Komodo dragons
The Komodo dragon is the world's largest living lizard. Unless you're visiting an Indonesian island, the only place to see Komodo dragons in person is at a zoo.
Komodo dragons get their name from Komodo, one of four islands in Indonesia where the enormous monitor lizards are found. The dragon part comes from the alarming, almost monstrous size of these reptiles, which can be up to ten feet long and over 300 pounds (though they definitely don't breathe fire). Komodo dragons prey on birds and mammals and occasionally attack humans too.
